What is the Visa Account Updater?
The Visa Account Updater service is a free benefit to you to help facilitate uninterrupted processing of your established recurring payments with qualified participating merchants. Enjoy automatic updates of payment information including the the card number and/or expiration date on file when you get a new or reissued card. 

Visa will automatically enroll all debit/credit cardholders in this service, however you can opt-out at any time if you choose. 

New Card? No Problem.

Regardless of whether your Altier Visa debit/credit is reissued as a result of reaching the expected expiration date or due to being lost, stolen or compromised, this service will allow you to:

  • Skip the time and hassle of re-entering or resubmitting your payment info
  • Avoid declined payments and service interruptions
  • Enjoy automatic updates of payment information when you get a new or reissued card
  • Count on us to keep your card information secure.

If you wish to opt-out of Visa Account Updater, you may do one of the following:

Visa Account Updater is a service that will provide card number and expiration date updates to merchants who maintain card-on-file account information in order to process recurring member payments. 

Is participation in the Visa Account Updater mandatory?

Visa will automatically enroll all debit/credit cardholders in this service, however you can opt-out at any time.

How do I know which merchants participate in this service?

Merchant participation is elective and some merchants may choose not to enroll in this service. Cardholders are still responsible for following up with merchants in order to ensure they automatically received fully updated card information through the account updater service, or to provide updated information.
