Altier CU's text banking is easy to use and FREE for all Altier Credit Union members.

Once you have registered your mobile phone and account number, just text one of the commands to 40293 and get your information within seconds.  It's like texting your friends!  Never be without your Altier account information again.

The commands available with our Text Banking service are listed below:

BAL - shows a list of your accounts and suffixes with their current available balances.  Credit cards are identified by their last 4 digits.

HELP - shows a list of commands and their functionality

HIST - texting "hist (account suffix)" shows a list of recent transactions on that account.  Example: HIST10

LIST - shows a list of your account suffixes with their associated account types

LOAN - texting "loan (account suffix)" shows details on your loan, such as the next payment due date, loan balance and payment amount.  Example: "LOAN1"

STOP - deactivates your account.  You will no longer have access to Altier's Text Banking until you register with us again.

Standard message rates apply to all text messages, as determined by your wireless provider.  Altier Credit Union is not responsible for any text message charges from your wireless provider.

Altier CU's text banking service is limited to no more than 30 messages in a month.  We reserve the right to discontinue your service at any time for excessively using our text banking service.

Q.  What is the cost of Text Banking?

A.  Standard message rates apply to all text messages, as determined by your wireless provider.  Text Banking is available from Altier CU at no additional cost.  Altier Credit Union is not responsible for any text message charges invoiced from your wireless provider.

Q.  Is there a limit on Text Banking usage?

A.  Yes, Altier's Text Banking is limited to no more than 30 messages in a month.  We reserve the right to discontinue your service at any time for excessively using our Text Banking service.

Q.  How long does it take to receive a response to my text?

A.  After hitting "Send" on your phone, you can expect a text response in just 5 to 7 seconds.

Q.  Where do I send my text messages?

A.  Text Banking operates on the shortcode 40293.  You may want to add this number to your phone book, under "Text Banking," for easy access.

Q.  Which wireless carriers are supported?

A.  Text Banking supports all major carriers, with the exception of Cricket Wireless and Metro PCS.

Q.  How do I fix a "Command not recognized" or "Account does not exist" error?

A.  This error could be caused in several ways:  1.) Try disabiling the signature on your cell phone.  Any characters appended to your message may be misinterpreted by the Text Banking parsing engine.  2.) Ensure that your phone does not add additional formatting to your messages, such as adding a prefix of "RE:" which imitates an email subject line.  3.)  When entering your account suffix, be sure to use numbers, not letters.  The letter "O" cannot replace the number "0" to represent zero.

Q.  Why am I getting more than one message in reply to my request?

A.  Standard SMS text messages may contain up to 160 characters.  Responses that require more characters than this must be broken up into two or more messages before they reach your inbox.

A.  The list of commands and functionality are listed below:
